Velvet Coke might be one of the most famous Instagram accounts out there that posts pictures of various celebrities and stars from the past decades ranging from the 1950s to the early 2000s, but the person behind it admits the 80s could be her favourite. Learn more below.

Hello, can you first tell me a little bit about yourself?

I'm a girl with many interests and passions and one of them is my passion for everything vintage shown in this Instagram account, that represents me very well.

I see you post a variety of stars, movies and music of the past. Which decade/era is your favourite?

It's really hard to pick just one; I feel like every decade has something original and unique about it. However, if I had to pick just one I would choose the '80s because I feel like they were a right mix of everything. I love hard and glam rock, trash metal, big hair, colours, models, movies, TV shows, humour and the whole style of the decade.

Yes, the '80s were wonderful! What about music? You post a lot of singers and rock stars, who are some of your favourites?

Music! Means so much to me. Definitely, my favorite person ever is Axl Rose and my favorite band is Guns and Roses. Rock and metal are my favorite genres: Metallica, Iron Maiden, Depeche Mode, KISS, Slayer, Type O Negative, Manson, Exodus, Led Zeppelin... And I also love solo artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, [David] Bowie, Prince (they are just a few). 
Also Skid Row, The Cure, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pantera and Motley Crue. 

You have a broad taste when it comes to music. So, I guess what inspired you to make this account are those things, anything else?

Yes, one summer afternoon I felt like making a spare account where I can occasionally post a movie or artist or whatever's my mood. All these things inspire me the most.

And how long did you have this account?

I made this account on July 18th, 2016.

I must say your following is huge! Do any celebrities follow you?

Yeah, I'm pretty proud of it. Kendall Jenner, Liv Tyler, Jordan Barrett, Penelope Cruz, Lorde, Dylan Sprouse, Kian Lawley, Maggie Lindermann are a few examples and they've all been nice, too.

Wow, that is amazing. It really means your account is valuable when others appreciate it as well.

What type of photos is your favorite to post? Rock stars, movie stills, lyrics or perhaps any other?

I love posting rockstars and red carpet looks or photoshoots. Maybe I don't show it enough on this account, but fashion is a huuuge part of my lifestyle!

I'm surprised by that but in a good way! What about fashion do you like the most? Models, designs, editorials or anything else?

Everything. It's my dream world to be a part of the fashion industry. It's like a work of art. I love the models - they're like a blank canvas. I love unusual editorials, everything about runways and the designer pieces. The way models bring fashion to life fascinates me.

I totally agree. Speaking of the vintage world now, what made you fall for it?

I grew up on old TV shows and movies. I loved everything about them and then I started noticing how different everything was back then. Then I started loving other aspects - fashion, music, celebrities of that time.

The times were definitely different. I saw you are working on other projects, too. For example, for Interview magazine, how did that happen?

That's an amazing project! The senior online editor at Interview Magazine, Trey Taylor, noticed my account and he contacted me. The column in called Obvious History - it's about the best pop culture moments. I love the idea of it and it's so fun to look back at these iconic people and events. The reactions are great and make me so happy.

Now, if you could be any famous person from the past who would it be?

Probably Mick Jagger. His life was so interesting. I'd love to be a rockstar either way. That lifestyle must be my favorite thing ever. With both ups and downs! It's a long hard road but worth it.
